Why You Should Choose A Natural Skincare Routine This Summer

Do you know anyone who doesn’t want to have clear and healthy skin? This is especially prominent in the summer when we show off so much of our skin: legs, arms, bellies, backs… Sadly, because of the heat of the sun and high temperatures we sweat a lot and this can cause acne breakouts, among other things. To avoid acne, oily skin, blemishes, and clogged pores, try switching to natural skin care routine, because its benefits are incredible.

Use Hydrating Masks
Hydrating masks are recommended at least twice a week. You will use cleansers daily and exfoliate as well, but all that sweating will leave your skin drier than in other seasons. Mix a third of a cup of oatmeal with half a cup of water, a tablespoon of honey, and two tablespoons of coconut oil. The mixture is incredibly soothing and revitalizing, and your skin will be grateful for the relief. What is more, it can help with eczema and acne breakouts. Those who have dry skin can use avocado and olive oil to restore some of that glow they have lost during the day. Apply a nice mask in the evening and the results will be visible in the morning.

Make Body Scrub In Your Kitchen
Getting rid of the dead skin is important because it will mean that layers which were below all the dead cells can finally soak in nutrients. What is important to remember is to add some oils (olive, coconut, or some other) to the mix because otherwise your skin will stay dry after you have scrubbed it. Use sugar, brown or white, oatmeal, coffee, flour, and fresh strawberries – these will leave your skin wonderfully smooth and soft. Honey, avocado, egg whites, and yoghurt are also beneficial because they will not only moisturize but also lock the moisture in the skin.

Avoid Drying Up Your Skin Further
If you have serious problems with acne breakouts, summer heat will probably make it worse. With all the sweat and sunscreen it will be practically impossible to avoid new breakouts while old ones are barely healed. To get some relief and prevent this from happening, choose gentle cleansers which will not strip your skin of its essential oils (if you dry up your skin your body will produce more oil than before to help it regenerate). Acne treatment products should decongest skin and soothe it so that the redness and inflammation reduce to minimum. Only then can you think about treating acne with a bit more aggressive products.

Detox Your System
Last but not least, it’s important to detox so all the chemicals you have been using for a very long time can get out of your system. The detox process is slow and natural, but you can speed it up a notch by taking in more liquid: water, fresh juices and different kinds of tea. Note that detox is not easy, and there is a great chance you will get skin blemishes and pimples while it lasts, but that is simply your body getting rid of all toxins, and once it finishes all that will be left is clear and glowing skin.

You will be surprised how well your body will react to all natural, chemical-free routine. It might take a while for all the chemicals you have been using before to leave your system, but if you stay persistent and stick to your decisions, little by little you will notice improvements, and in no time you will not have skin problems at all.
