But First, Tea | 5 Detox Teas

Thursday, 31 December 2015
Hey guys, it's New Years Eve! I like a fresh start but I haven't made any resolutions the past few years. For this year, however, I have set myself some small achievable goals to meet. I read recently that you should set a date a few times a year to look at how your getting on with your resolutions or goals. I shared some of my thoughts on meeting goals in this post. Some of you might have decided to go on a diet or are gonna try making other lifestyle changes. Don't be too hard on yourselves though, and expect immediate change. Go slow and ease yourself into it whatever it is you're doing with small steps. Have tiny little goals to meet as you go along, that way you'll feel good about meeting those goals, and you're less likely to just give up.

Anyway, this post is about tea, something I am very passionate about. I love normal tea most of all, but I also like to try new and different types of teas. If, after lots of overindulgence during the holiday, or just for the start of a new year, you feel like a little "not too much effort" cleanse, I've put together a couple of herbal teas that might help you feel like you're starting afresh.

I really love the Pukka Detox, it tastes uh-mazing which is especially great for a herbal detox tea.

My Reading Apps

Thursday, 17 December 2015
Hey everyone,
I like to read books on the go, so using reading apps on my phone is really handy, it's also great to be able to access so many free books using apps. For me personally, nothing will ever beat a paper book, just in terms of the feel, but I've never used a kindle or e-reader, besides my phone. Anyway, here are some of the reading apps I use.

This app is great for when you're thinking of reading a book and want to have a quick look at some review. You can just scan the bar-code of the book so you can find anything really easily. You also post your own book reviews, and add books to your different shelves, you can have an "abandoned" shelf, for example. If your friends or other bloggers you follow have accounts, you can follow what they're reading too.

This app is great for fanfiction. There is a ton of free stuff on here, don't expect wonderful, spelling and grammar though, you do have to sift through a lot of rubbish to find good reads, but if gives does you recommendations based on what you've read. You can also comment on what you're reading, follow writers, and write your own stories.

This app I haven't used before, but you get free access to 23,469 different classic books, things like, Wuthering Heights, Alice in Wonderland, Dracula etc. so it's a great one to have if you want to read more classics.

This app does have it's shortcomings, but it's still worth having if you love to read because of the large selection of free books. I do find it a good one to have.

All of the these apps are available on both Google play and App Store except for Google Play books.

Do you use any good reading apps?
Until next time,

Workspace Inspiration

Thursday, 10 December 2015
Hey guys, I have so much work to do at the moment, and personally, I find the place where I work has a big impact on how I concentrate and how productive and motivated I feel.
At the moment I have to make do with whatever space I can get, but here are some pretty workspaces I've taken from pinterest which I like. I find monochrome particularly appealing at the moment..

Clean workspace:
I'd love a chalk board like this.
There’s something so elegant about a black accent wall. Still afraid to try it as a bedroom color, but perhaps for a home office? -VV gravity-gravity: “ Source ”:

Lovely workspace, clean and white, a clean slate for ideas and creativity:
So white and clean. Gorgeous, but I'd have stuff everywhere!
Home with character in Copenhagen - via cocolapinedesign.com:
Plants, and plain coloured canvases, yes.

Oh, the work I'd do if this desk was mine.. :p

Do you find having a nice workspace helps you work better?

Tech Wishlist

Saturday, 5 December 2015
Hey guys,
Today I thought I'd share my tech wishlist. A lot of these items could be considered part of my ideal blogging tool kit.

Sony NX Mini
Samsung NX Mini White Camera Kit inc 9mm Lens, 16GB MicroSD & Case
This camera has a great flip out screen and is really small lightweight and portable. I've seen a lot of girls on Youtube who use it for vlogging and think it's great. For me, the fact it has wifi connection is a very appealing, because you could share snaps straight to Instagram or your blog. I'd like to try making some videos for my blog and/or Youtube in the future, and I think this would be a great little camera to start with.

Intuos Draw Creative Pen Tablet

Intuos Draw Small tn
I love doing simple little headers and sketches for my blog posts. I like the Autodesk app on my phone and I love Adobe Illustrator, I have also recently tried out one opensource alternative, called Inkscape and found it more user-friendly. I'd love to try out a drawing tablet, I think it would give me a more freedom to bring my own sketches on screen.
Keyboard Critter
Critter Keyboard Brushes Squirrel + Duck from Marna - 1
I saw these on someone's blog and thought they were really cute, handy if you get pesky crumbs in your keyboard.. someone told me recently though that the best way to avoid that happening if you're in the bad habit of eating by your computer, is to use a keyboard cover. You could use cling-film I suppose..

Earphone Tidy
Black Soft Leather Cord Organizer / Cable Holder / Earphone Holder
My earphones are always getting super tangled up so I thought one of these would be great to have. There are some really cute and colourful ones on Etsy but this plain black one appeals to me. I saw a crocheted one and I think they look quite simple to make so I might try sometime.

I've been quite realistic with my wishlist up to this point, with my modest (non-existent :p) budget but if money were no object, I'd add these..

Macbook Pro
This laptop is supposed to be great for video editing on the go. Plus it's pretty.

Samsung S6 Edge
Samsung Galaxy S6 edgeMORE PICTURES
I would love to be able to upgrade to this phone. The camera is biggest draw to this for me but there are loads of other amazing features.

Canon 700D
Canon EOS 700D
Really, I don't need this camera, I just want it. It's an entry level DSLR and it would take me ages to get to grips with all the manual options, but I've used it before, very briefly, and it was really really amazing. It would be fantastic camera to have for blogging and shooting video, it gives incredibly clear sharp details.

So that's my tech wishlist at the moment. Remember though, having the best equipment to hand doesn't make you the best at something. It's great to be creative and innovative using what you have available to you. Too many tools, sometimes, I think can actually stifle creativity. Use what you have and do what you can!

Any tech gadgets on your wishlist at the moment?
