Blog For You
You should blog for yourself first. Blogging should be something you enjoy, to express your passions, interests and opinions. Blogging is a great self-improver in my opinion, if you're writing, editing and creating it can only help you grow, it challenges you to write and communicate better.
Practice Makes Perfect
You can go no where but up really, you may not be particularly happy with your content now, (I'm a million miles from where I want to be with my content) but you will get better, keep going!
Be Consistent
Someone will read your blog eventually! If you keep going, and post regularly. If you can, post on a specific day and time each week, aim for that, that way your readers will know when to expect new content. But do it for the love first, not for attention or freebies.
Be Genuine
Use what you have, do what you can. Be true to yourself and your interests. I think most people can tell straight away when a person's heart isn't in something. Even if everyone else seems to have a ton of cash to buy the latest stuff, and you just don't. (Me) Work with what you have. You will probably come up with more creative ideas.
Get Inspired
If you're stuck for inspiration check out my previous post full of lists of blog post ideas. You could try getting a blogging buddy, that way you could encourage each other to blog. Another idea is to create a schedule of days to post on and work towards having a post ready for that time. Carry a notebook to scribble down ideas, you can be inspired by anything around you for blog posts. Or just make a note in your phone. I like to doodle though I think it helps creativeness flow better :p
Connect
If you're blogging yourself, you probably read blogs too. If you read and enjoy someone else's posts, let them know! That way they know you're there and can take a look at your blog too, if you're enjoying their content, you may well have common interests, so it's a great way to make blog friends. Do not spam anyone though or leave stupid comments that are clearly just so you can leave your blog link. Nobody appreciates that. Again, be genuine, be real.

I hope this post inspired you to keep going with your blog if you've been having doubts.
If you have advice to keep me motivated to continue blogging or you found this helpful let me know below.
Thank you for reading, ♡

Spooky October Reading List

Saturday, 17 October 2015
I've decide to put together a reading list of spooky books for the last two weeks of October. They're just a few books to choose from if you're looking for something to get you into the spooky seasonal mood.

_____________________________________________________________

  Dracula
Dracula, Bram Stoker
I read this book a good few years ago now, and I remember I didn't want to be left alone in the dark after reading it.. it is the very first vampire book, so if you haven't read it, I do suggest you give it a go. Also, fun fact: it's a theory that Dracula got his name from the Celtic phrase 'droch fhola' (pronounced 'druc ula') meaning 'bad blood'.

Carrie
Carrie, Stephen King
I read this when I was quite young and I found it very disturbing. You may have a vague notion of the plot, Cloe Grace Moretz, stared in the most recent film adaption. It's about a high school girl raised by a psychotically religious mother who has a very tough time in high school, She has a secret though, and when the bullies push her too far..

Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1)
Warm Bodies, Isaac Marion
I've just put this in because I want to read it. It's about zombies. Zombie romance. What more do you want? Lighter stuff than Carrie anyway, I think.

Beastly
Beastly, Alex Flinn
This is for people who don't really want to read anything scary. This is a cute modern day twist on "Beauty and the beast". I loved it and I love the movie too. It might be too childish for some though.

The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Picture of Dorian Grey, Oscar Wilde
This book has been on my to read list for a while, I saw the film ages ago now, it was really quite creepy, so this should be a good spooky read.

The Tell-Tale Heart

The Tell Tale Heart, Edgar Allen Poe
This short story I read when I was taking American Literature. I found it thoroughly unsettling, and not knowing anything about the story before I read it made it even more chilling. I won't give you any more details, just read it..

Leave some scary book suggestions below, maybe some more modern and contemporary books?

Also, what are you reading right now?
Leave me a comment and let me know!

September Favourites 2015

Thursday, 1 October 2015

Top left 1. -- bottom right 9.
This month I'm back with a favourites post, I didn't put together one last month. It's a bit of a mix as usual.

1. My Savida @Dunnes backpack, I've been a bit obsessed with this bag, I got in for half price on sale, it's a really cool shape I think.

2. This grey plaid maxi scarf, I love this scarf so much, it's a lovely neutral grey and is super soft and warm.

3. Wheatgrass Powder. I tried out this stuff out this month, it doesn't taste very good but it makes me feel way more energetic, it's quite easy to add to smoothies to mask the taste.

4. H&M mini kabuki brush. This brush is gorgeous, it's really soft and is great for blending foundation and BBcreme for a flawless finish.

5. Another photo of my bag..

6. This seventeen liquid eyeliner I've been wearing a lot this month, it's quite easy to apply and lasts pretty well.

7. This month I've been eating cacao nibs. They're basically cacao beans, which chocolate is made from, broken into tiny pieces. They give you a chocolatey hit with out the sugar and are full of iron and other goodness. They're kinda like a chocolate nut. Very nice.

8. I've been wearing this Rimmel BBcreme a lot this month, it's very easy to apply and doesn't take much blending just gives a very subtle coverage and stops me from looking dead in the mornings.

9. My trusty mini flask is a favorite this month as it helps me not spend a fortune every day buying coffee. This one is a pretty solid one from Thermos.

What have you been loving this month?
